Technique

How do you assess the skill of a painter and decorator?

That's not as difficult as you might think. You just search out the points in the decor where technique is vital. For instance, the line between a white-painted skirting board and a stained wooden floor should be straight and clean, just like the example on the right.

This was painted by David Driscoll for a client of Homestead Painting & Decorating Services.

This is the standard of skill your home or place of business needs and which you deserve.

It is also the standard that David and his people deliver as a matter of course.

Why settle for less?

The work of the true craftsman is easily detectable in the field of papering, too.

Just look for parts of the work where the plasterwork can't possibly be even, such as a radiused corner.

The plastering profession has some really skilled people, but asking them to maintain a completely even curve from floor to ceiling is just asking too much of the medium in which they work. It isn't just difficult, it's simply impossible.

So when the papering comes out perfectly, like the example on the left, even the plasterer will admit that most of the credit must go to the paper hanger.

A result like this takes great skill and experience, but as you see, it is possible.

Homestead Painting and Decorating Services guarantees work of this quality every time.

Every client is special, so every job deserves the best, however large or small.
